Your pet photo is the identity reference for every personalized PET OF HONOR design. This guide explains what to expect from custom artwork before you order.
Your pet should still feel like your pet
We design from the visible features in the photo: face shape, coat color, markings, expression and other recognizable details. The goal is a recognizable, intentional portrait—not a generic pet graphic.
Custom artwork is an interpretation
Each art direction changes the reference in a different way. A clean realistic portrait will stay closer to the source photo than a retro, editorial or artistic-scene design. Small differences in texture, line work, lighting, crop and color are part of the chosen style and are not the same as a photographic reproduction.
Choose the strongest reference you have
A clear, well-lit image with the eyes, ears and face visible gives the design the best information. If an important marking or feature is hidden in the photo, the artwork cannot reliably reproduce what is not visible. See the Pet Photo Guide before ordering if you are unsure.
Names, spelling and submitted details
Please review pet names, dates, wording, sizes, colors and other personalization before submitting the order. We use the information you provide. If you notice an error, contact us promptly; changes cannot be guaranteed after custom work or production has started.
Photos you upload
Only upload photos and other content that you own or have permission to use. By submitting content for an order, you authorize PET OF HONOR and the service providers needed to create, support and fulfill that order to process and adapt the content for that purpose, consistent with our store terms and privacy policy.
Proofs and revisions
Whether a proof or revision stage is included depends on the product or collection purchased. When a proof is included, review it carefully and send requested corrections through the stated process. Approval confirms that the reviewed personalization is ready to move forward.
Screen color and printed color
Colors can appear differently across phones, monitors, garment colors, papers, fabrics and printing methods. Minor differences between an on-screen preview and a finished physical item are normal. We design with the final product in mind, but exact screen-to-print color matching cannot be guaranteed.
Backgrounds, crops and composition
The original photo background may be removed, simplified or replaced. Cropping, typography and composition are adapted to the product and selected style rather than preserving the original snapshot exactly as submitted.
