PET OF HONOR FAQ

Answers to the questions that matter most before you submit a pet photo or place a personalized order.

Can I use a phone photo?

Yes. A sharp, well-lit phone photo is usually an excellent reference. The face, eyes, ears, coat color and important markings should be easy to see. See the Pet Photo Guide for more detail.

Do you simply print my original photo?

No. The photo is used as the identity reference and the composition is designed for the chosen product and art direction. Backgrounds may be removed, typography may be added, and the crop can change so the finished piece feels intentionally designed.

Will the artwork look exactly like the photo?

The goal is a recognizable likeness, but custom artwork is an interpretation rather than a photographic duplicate. The amount of stylization depends on the selected art direction. Read the Personalization & Artwork Guide before ordering if likeness or style is especially important to you.

Can I use the same pet on different products?

Yes. A key part of PET OF HONOR is carrying a recognizable pet identity across products while adapting the layout to each item.

Will my original photo background stay in the design?

Not necessarily. Depending on the product and style, the background can be removed, simplified or replaced so the pet remains the focus.

Are proofs or revisions included?

Proof and revision stages depend on the product or collection purchased. When a proof is included, review names, wording, visible markings and other personalization carefully before approval. The relevant product page describes the included process.

Can I change my photo, name, size, color or other details after ordering?

Contact us promptly if you notice an error. We will try to help before custom work or production begins, but changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed after that point.

Why can printed color look different from my screen?

Phones and monitors display light, while garments, paper and fabrics reflect printed ink or dye. Small color differences between an on-screen preview and a finished physical item are normal, especially across different garment colors and materials.

Do I need permission to use the photo I upload?

Yes. Only submit photos or other content that you own or have permission to use. Our Store Terms explain how submitted content is used to create, support and fulfill the personalized order.

Are physical products made to order?

Yes. Personalized physical products are created for the individual order rather than pulled from preprinted inventory.

How long does shipping take?

Total delivery time includes both made-to-order production and carrier transit. Available shipping methods and estimates appear at checkout when available. Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees. See Shipping & Production for details.

What if my physical item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect?

Contact us with your order number and clear photos showing the issue so the order can be reviewed. Do not send an item back before contacting us for instructions. See Personalized Orders & Returns.

How are Wedding Collection orders different?

Wedding Collections use a dedicated portrait-first workflow so one approved master pet portrait can stay visually consistent across the coordinated wedding pieces. The wedding product page explains the package, proofing and revision process for that order.

Still unsure?

Contact PET OF HONOR before ordering and tell us what you are making. For photo questions, describe what concerns you about the image so we can answer more clearly.
